I want you to forget everything you know, or think you know, about "Women in Tech.” Why? Because no matter the business function, or company, our leaders have no historical precedents for gender equality at work. This leaves all of us responsible for helping to define and deliver it.

Gender equality doesn't have to mean that every department at every company has an equal proportion of men and women. Rather, it should be an outcome of equal opportunity, which is the ability for people to choose their career path and to be paid fairly regardless of gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation. We need to aim for equal opportunity if we want everyone to be fully recognized for their knowledge, skills, and experience.

This session will cover:
• What's (still) wrong with equality in the workplace in 2020
• Why the "Women in Tech" approach is flawed (for what really needs to be achieved)
• 5 practical tips for your organization and 5 more for you
