Savannah Shumbris, Supervisor, Application Support, BAYADA Home Heath Care
Savannah's journey is a testament to her dedication, rapid growth, and passion for both technology and healthcare and the purpose behind the work she does every day. Originally from a background of volunteering in nursing homes and inspired by her mother's career in home health care, Savannah always knew she wanted to make an impact in the healthcare field. She graduated from Bloomsburg University with a B.S. in Digital Forensics during the height of COVID, quickly launching her professional path as a contractor for BAYADA through a third party. In just three years, Savannah's career at BAYADA flourished as she progressed from contractor to full-time analyst, then senior associate, and ultimately into a people management role overseeing a team of five in her role managing support for BAYADA's 97 Skilled Nursing Unit offices. Working closely with the practice and product teams, Savannah ensures the EMR systems are running smoothly, enabling patient care to never stop. When not fixing broken applications, she is working alongside support analysts to help them assist their users, grow in their roles, and feel supported being marked by her willingness and intentional availability to jump in when anyone needs help. Savannah's commitment to service and leadership was recognized as she became an HDI Analyst of the Year Finalist at the local level in both 2022 and 2023, and most recently, a finalist for HDI's 2025 Rising Star Award to be announced in November. By merging her love for technology with her deep-rooted passion for healthcare, Savannah has found her dream role at BAYADA. She remains enthusiastic about continuing to learn, grow, and empower others on their own career journeys as she grows on hers.
