Kathleen Armour Spitzer, Executive Director of IT Customer Engagement, Vanderbilt University Information Technology
Kathleen Armour Spitzer is Executive Director of IT Customer Engagement at Vanderbilt University, where she leads a portfolio of services including IT support operations, endpoint configuration management, lifecycle and asset management, classroom technology, and IT service management. Her work focuses on improving how technology services are delivered and experienced across the university, with an emphasis on consistency, usability, scalability, and service quality. She has supported efforts to enhance the customer experience with IT through more proactive, user centered approaches, while also advancing a zero-touch deployment model and strengthening team agility through cross functional training that enables support teams to adapt quickly to changing demand.
Kathleen previously served as an Administrative Officer and held leadership roles across Project Management, Relationship Management, and IT Business Continuity, supporting coordination, planning, and service resilience throughout the organization. She also led the development and ongoing management of service level agreements during a period of significant organizational transition, helping to clarify expectations and strengthen service delivery. She holds an MBA and is committed to data informed approaches that enhance the overall technology experience for students, faculty, and staff.
